Parent Education Opportunity at Monta Vista High School

Monta Vista High School Mandarin Parenting Workshop:

This workshop is 3-weeks long and discussed in Mandarin Chinese. It is open to high school teens’ parents. It is focused on supporting parents and strengthening the parent-teen relationship. You might find parenting very challenging when faced with raising your child in a different culture from your own. We will also explore the culture difference and generation gap, which you might encounter during parenting. Through group discussion and interactive practice, we will
learn together and support each other to make parenting an exciting and enjoyable experience!

  1. Understanding yourself and your teen - Parenting style and effect. - What are teens' misbehaviors telling you. 
  2. Listen and communicate effectively
  3. Set boundaries and allow consequence to build responsibility
