SUGGESTIONS FOR USE OF THE COLLEGE HANDBOOK
The handbook is given to all Seniors at Lynbrook to use during their senior year to help them with the college selection and application process. It is also available by clicking on the Handbook link on the upper left of this page.
The handbook will assist you in making decisions to meet your individual educational needs. Rather than reading it from cover to cover, it might be more helpful to refer to individual sections as your interest and needs arise.
The Junior and Senior Calendar sections are some of the most important parts of the handbook. The calendars give time frames for completing different tasks in the selection and application process.
The handbook is in no way designed to be complete; instead, it is designed to help you start the college selection and application process. More detailed information in each of the areas contained in the handbook can be found in the College/Career Center at Lynbrook where there are reference books, college catalogs, and access to computer search programs.
Some information may change, particularly regarding tuition and other college-related expenses. For current information, visit the College/Career Center or contact the college directly. Websites are provided for easy access of current information.
The handbook should not be considered to be legal, financial or other professional advice. The information is intended to be accurate, but Lynbrook High School and the Guidance personnel do not assume liability as a result of reliance on this data.
