CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL EXIT EXAM (CAHSEE)
The CAHSEE is given to students in March of the sophomore year. Students are tested in the areas of English Language Arts and mathematics. If a student passes the exam during the first administration, they will not be required to take the test again. If students do not pass the CAHSEE during the initial administration students will have the opportunity to retake the exam 2 -3 times per school year. Lynbrook and the Fremont Union High School District provide various intervention support programs during the school year and summer to help students prepare. If by the end of the senior year of high school (grade 12) a student has not passed the exit exam, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion and possibly not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.
