Thank You Note Procedure

Thank You Note Procedure
If you attend a job shadow assignment you are required to send a thank you note to your host.
Your host has volunteered their time to inform you about the kind of work they do.  Please put some thought into your email thank you.  It should  be more than a quick note like your confirming email.    A thank you note is proper etiquette to show your appreciation for their time. If your host provided lunch, you could thank him/her for that, too.  You could write about the thing(s) you really enjoyed about the shadow.  Being specific is always a good idea. The more personal you make it, the more impact it will have on your host.


Email Thank You
You may send a thank you to your host via email. If you do, you will need to cc: lhsjobshadow@gmail.com in your email to your host. Otherwise, we will not have a record of your thank you.

Hand Written Thank You
If you send a hand written thank you note, address the envelope, seal it and place a stamp on it, then turn it into the office.  There will be a wire basket on the counter for JS Thank You Notes.  After we record that you have written your note we will mail it for you.

If we do not have a record of you sending a thank you note, you will receive an email from Job Shadow reminding you to send one.
