American Mathematics Competitions (AMC):  The AMC 10 and AMC 12 will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 3:05-4:30pm.  Official registration for these tests will be taking place in the quad in the upcoming weeks.  In order to have a spot reserved for you to take the competition, make sure you sign up at the google doc link that was sent to your school loop mail account.  Submit your response by today!  /D. Club Food Day:  Hey Lynbrook!  The first Club Food Day will take place on Friday, November 7th at lunch in the quad.  Tickets will be sold until Friday, November 7th.  Buy your tickets early to avoid a long wait!  /C. Tuana

 

CLUBS:

Link Crew Halloween Festival:  Hey Freshman!  Your Link Crew leaders are planning a Halloween Festival for you today, Friday, October 31st from 3:00-4:30pm in the quad.  There will be food, music, and lots of fun games and activities, like Donut on a String, Musical Chairs, and a Photo Booth!  Costumes are not required but are encouraged!  Invite any of your friends!  Hope to see you all there!  /B. Astronomy and Physics Club:  Are you looking to join the best club on campus?  Do you want to learn what lobsters have to do with quantum entanglement?  Do you want to join a club that offers you opportunities for meaningful internships and national science competitions?  It isn’t too late to join Astronomy Club, repeat, it isn’t too late to join!  Meetings are Wednesdays at lunch in room 603.  /M. SPORTS:

Girls Basketball Tryouts:  Attention all girls interested in trying out for Girls Basketball ~ official tryouts begin on Monday, November 3rd from 5:30-7:30pm.  Please meet in the main gym in your running shoes, but be sure to bring your basketball shoes, water and all medical paperwork completed.  /L. Girls Soccer Tryouts:  Make sure you turn in your physicals to Alex Viveiros, our Athletic Trainer, prior to November 3rd.  You will need a tryout ticket before you can try out for soccer.  If you are in a Fall Sport, you do not need to resubmit your physical and you can come to tryouts as soon as your season is completed.  /S.
