Homework Center:  Starting this week, along with our English teachers there will be STTAR student tutors available to help students in math and science. English teachers will be at Homework Center from 3:15- 5pm. STTAR math and science tutors will only be available till 4pm. Drop in Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays to the library and work on your homework. / M. Otoshi 


Walk/Bike to School Day: Students please get some fresh air and enjoy the crisp morning by walking or biking to school on November 2nd. Tickets will be distributed as you walk/bike onto campus, tickets can be exchanged at the main gate for one healthy treat or a drink on their way to class. It's from 9:00am-9:15am only.  



CardioMed Cardiac Dissection: Do you have the heart to halve a heart? Ever wanted to tug at some heartstrings….literally? Lynbrook CardioMed invites you to join us at our cardiac dissection on Tuesday, October 25th at lunch in Mr. Lee’s room, room 305. We will be dissecting real sheep hearts in order to explore the four chambers, blood flow, major blood vessels, and more. Everyone is welcome, so we’d love to see you! / J. Chan


“Why Design Matters” Guest Speaker Event: Lynbrook FBLA presents its first guest speaker of the year with Bessy Liang! A graduate of Art Center College of Design & Lynbrook Alum, Bessy will be speaking about “Why Design Matters” in the world of business today. The event will take place Tuesday, October 25th at 8 pm in the auditorium. See you there. / J. Griffin



Class of 2020 T-shirts: There are still class of 2020 t-shirts waiting for you in room 505. If you ordered one please get it before the deadline, Friday, Oct. 28th during brunch or lunch. If you didn’t order one and would like to purchase one they are $20 come to room 505 during brunch or lunch. / B. Stevens



The following college presentations will take place this week in the College & Career Center: Univ of Minnesota - Twin Cities, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Pomona College, Willamette University, Mills College. College presentations are for juniors and seniors only. Please sign up through Family Connection.



Badminton: There will be an Open Gym for all students interested in playing Badminton this year on Tuesday, Oct. 25th, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Fieldhouse. Please wear proper sports attire and bring a racquet. Birds will be supplied.


Wrestling: There is a mandatory all team parent and wrestler meeting in the wrestling room tonight at 5:30pm. / Coach Salas


Frosh/Soph Boys Basketball: There will be an informational meeting for all boys interested in trying out for the Frosh/Soph basketball team on Thursday, October 27th in room 503 at brunch. / J. Bale


Men’s Water Polo enjoyed two great wins Thursday night against Harker. Our Frosh/Soph team beat Harker by 5 goals to finish their season as League Champions! Immediately following their game, our Varsity Men also beat Harker by two in a very tense game, to finish undefeated in league play this season. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Varsity Men on their senior night, in their quest for the league championship. Be on the lookout for an invite to the League Championship Game next Friday at Cupertino High School. Go Vikes! / Coach Waldrip
