Greetings from the LIMB President
Welcome to the 2012-2013 Lynbrook Instrumental Music Boosters (LIMB)! Our mission is to support Lynbrook High School’s award-winning Instrumental Music Program, one of the best in the Bay Area and in California, by helping our students become the best musicians they can be. LIMB supports and benefits musicians in the String Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Marching Band, Color Guard, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Winter Percussion and Guard Ensembles.
You automatically become a member of LIMB when your student joins a Lynbrook instrumental group. I am excited to have the honor to welcome you to our LIMB community! Your talent, generosity, and volunteering are among the responsibilities; your reward is the joy of supporting and enjoying your student, who is becoming the best of the best musicians in the world!
Talent - There are many ways in which your talents, imagination and creativity are needed throughout the year, and LIMB looks forward to your participation with various committees and activities.
Generosity - LIMB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer-run organization. Your donations are a vital contribution to our overall funding. LIMB support provides enhanced instruction (Clinicians, guest conductors), performance opportunities (CMEA, CBDA, music festivals, exchange concerts) and etc.
Volunteering – the core and backbone of LIMB. Your active participation is an important link to the ongoing success of our program and is vital to your student’s musical experience. With the many volunteer opportunities at LIMB, you will find your spot in our formation, the rhythm of your stride, along with the beat in your heart and soul – all that is LIMB.
As parents, guardians, family and friends of our musicians, we affirm the importance of a music education and its enhancement of academic performance.
We are looking forward to a fun and exciting school year!
