Where do your annual $15 PTSA membership dues go?

For the price of one movie ticket and a small popcorn, you can join the Lynbrook Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) and help fund the many programs we run that benefit our students and the school throughout the year!

As a member of the LHSPTSA, you also become a powerful advocate for children and education state-wide as well as nation-wide, and can help impact many of our law-makers’ policy and budget decisions.

Individual membership costs $15 per year. Family members of every enrolled student are eligible for membership: student, parents, grandparents, etc. We strongly urge every student and his/her parents or guardians to become members. Teachers and other staff members are also encouraged to become members. Community members (alumni, parents of alumni, school board members, neighbors) may also join. There are numerous benefits of membership for students, parents and staff.

Your membership is very important! It gives you a voice on many issues that impact our students. Each member is entitled to one vote at the PTSA general meetings where budget and other important decisions are made. However, membership does not commit you to attending meetings or volunteering.Your dues are the main source of income for the Lynbrook PTSA and help us alleviate the need for fundraisers.

Our main membership drive occurs in August when school begins. Look for the PTSA envelope in the Back to School packet. If you missed that, you can join anytime of the year by filling out a membership form or staff membership form, attaching your check, and dropping it in the PTSA box in the school office.
