Girls Volleyball - UPDATED 7/14/2016

My name is Dean Askanas and I'm the new varsity coach for the volleyball team.
We will have a very meticulous system of play in which we will get started on this summer. The practices won't be an open play style, but rather actual practices in which we will get ready for the upcoming season. Your attendance is highly recommended so that we can all be well prepared. We will practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from July 5th to July 21. This is a total of 9 practices in which I hope to see you all at. The practices will run from 6-8 PM. I always expect all of my team to arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the designated start time to help set up. Showing up at 555 for a 600 practice would be considered late.
It is a strict style of practice in which you are always expected to hustle and be fully engaged in the drills. I'm not a big believer in excuses. If you really want to be at practice, you will find a way to be there. In return, I will always do the same and we will come to build a healthy respect for each other.
The first day of tryouts is 8/5 at 330. We will follow up with our 2nd tryout on Saturday 8/6 from 9 to 1130.

** Tryouts will continue on 8/8/2016 and every day afterward except Sundays.  Volleyball is a very popular sport - there are a limited number of places on the roster.  Missing any or all of the practices greatly reduces an athlete's chance of being included on the final roster.

I look forward to meeting all of you
Thank you

Summer Begins June 4th, 2016

Parents and athletes, Lynbrook has upgraded our Athlete Registration System.  We are live as of Right Now!. It is similar to the system we used last year... but even better. Please get your athletes the yearly physical exam required to participate in Lynbrook Athletics.  Those exam forms need to be turned in to the AthleticTrainer or Athletic Director before your athlete can try out..  NO paperwork goes to the coaches.

We are looking forward to a fantastic summer and a great Fall of competition for our Vikings!

Click the VNN logo below to get started!
